Are any of you using this?
At work we use KeePass which rocks except its biggest limitation which is that the contents of an individual database are fully accessible to anyone who has access to it, so the only way to give Help Desk access to stuff they need is to have a separate database which is hassle.
There are lots of products out there, but most seem to rely on a LAMP or IIS/SQL stack to work, and I don't want that hassle if I'm in a DR scenario - I just want quick and easy access to the passwords.
I use LastPass for my own stuff and have just about satisfied myself that I trust the security, but I suspect my boss won't and no amount of "Here's the reasons it can be trusted" will fall on deaf ears - any comments on that beyond "Steve Gibson says it's safe" are welcome.
Or what else is out there that:
- Is not an excel spreadsheet
- Is not a text file on a trucrypt volume
- Doesn't need LAMP or IIS/SQL
- Is simultaneously accessible by multiple users
- Has tiered access for folders or individual passwords
- Is Reasonably priced
The tiered access without LAMP/IIS/SQL seems to be the stumbling block so far.
