Right now I'm going through the process where one of my Dr's offices is getting certified for Meaningful Uses. This is my first time going through this process and I only have one other Dr's office as a client that are just break and fix as needed. What my question is has anyone else gone through the process of meaningful uses, what are some of the things I should look out for on the IT end. Also I'm just a one man shop and for the amount of items that need to be done for meaningful uses and the amount of documentation you have to do every month should I consider jumping ship and leave this client to one of the bigger MSP's in town. Right now I'm just under a basic management contract for a few hours a month and mostly handle break and fix for them. From what the office manager was telling me today it seems like I will have to live there now and also need Health Care IT certifications for this. Is the liability as the MSP when doing meaningful uses going to worth it since I'm just a one man shop. I also don't want to struggle handling all my other clients. The insight on this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
