Has anyone tried using Panasonic's current generation of BB-HNP with other brands' IP cameras? We're currently running 15A with a couple dozen older Panasonic cameras and are looking at upgrading the software as well as replacing and adding cameras.
If the new software works better than the old one, and works properly with at least a few good options for non Panasonic cameras then that might be the best option for us. If not, then we've got to find an economical (the real tricky part) option that is fully compatible with our current cameras AND our future camera selections.
I've been working with Milestone but even it doesn't like the newer Panasonic cameras we got. Those cameras don't seem to like anyone but Panasonic. Luckily we only bought three, so if we wind up going some route that doesn't work with them we can use them somewhere other than our main site. We won't be replacing everything at once.
