Being the IT admin/manager/everything,
My boss asked me for all equipment, Active Directory, services, etc, users and passwords to be printed out and delivered to him.....
Since we don't have a vault or anything, and he won't tell me how such document is to be kept, I have hit a moral/ethical wall.......
With that much power, comes a great responsibility. It is my burdon to bear, but if anyone else has that access, how can I be held responsible for the network/system, if all the access is written down on a piece of paper, that I don't even know were it is?
I have previously held my ground, and not given them out....... but jobs don't fall from trees here, but it just seems too irresponsible to have that much access just laying around for anyone to use. I don't think he understands what an admin access can do in an active directory system.
What would you do, or have done, in this situation?
