I'm looking at password management software to help get our users away from writing down their passwords. So far, I really liked KeePass, and discussing it with our Network Admin, he liked LastPass. Free is ideal, of course, but we are willing to pay a reasonable price for a solution as well.
The thing is that our users are pretty horrible with remembering passwords. We have a more than a few who need help every time they're required to change their password because they forgot the new one they just set. I know it will be a recurring problem having users forgetting the password to their PW database (or forgetting which key file they used, or deleting the key file "by accident").
Ideally, we would like to find a solution that allows for a "backdoor" admin access as well, so that if the user forgets the password to their database, any admin can get into it with the admin password and change the user's password on the PW database.
We would also prefer to go with a program installed on the local PC or an internal server rather than a cloud service.
Any suggestions for a password management software that would allow for this (or any other suggestions!) would be greatly appreciated.
