Whatsurveillancesoftware is your favorite?
I've tried a number of IP cam NVR software packages. Most of the free/cheap ones seem to lack in the playback department.
NUUO:
I have an old NUUO analog dvr that works pretty well, once I figured it out. NUUO's a little more costly, and I'm not sure what version I need for new systems, but so far it's my favorite.
Airvision:
Ubiquiti airvision's not bad. Has a cool feature where you select cameras, and it will show you recent short video clips. Can send email alerts with a jpeg. Free. The cameras are 1mp only, though, and the software only works with aircams.
BlueIris:
Cheap, works with all kinds of cameras. Seems pretty cpu intensive. Lacks good playback and search features. Interface is confusing.
Acti:
Free for up to 16 acti cams. A little cumbersome. I needed software that would work with multiple...
