I was just told that we have data being sent out and coming in, via snail mail and fax, that needs to be changed to electronic. They are reports that go to (and come from) properties around the country and the reports have sensitive info, like social security numbers. They are DOC or PDF files that are being printed then sent.
Then they told me I can't buy anything / spend anything.
My reply was "You'd better keep using snail mail, then. But, I'll look into it."
One of the biggest problems is that the properties are not under my control - they are, for the most part, individuals using personal PCs for their work.
I was thinking that maybe this would work - give each person an email account on our domain and instructions on how to access it via OWA, which is over SSL. The reports would then be staying on our domain so wouldn't be going over...
