I have seen various scam attempts here on the forums.
I had one this morning.
It start out by them stating that my computer was reporting errors to them. Which they didn't even try to pretend they were Microsoft or other company.
They asked if I me if I was in front of my computer, I told them no, and then they asked I f I could get in front of it.
I stupidly asked which one, which I would have thought they would hangup. When someone owns more than one that means they are somewhat tech-savvy.
They started to explain the errors they were seeing. As I they were talking I got on my laptop and disconnected my self from my internet service. Once disconnected I changed all my passwords (Router access, laptops, WPA Key), just to be safe, I was about due for some password changes anyway.
I then hung up on them.
