I was laying in bed asleep when my girlfriend came to wake me up saying she'd heard someone shaking/tugging on the patio door handle. Apparently they had either knocked on the door or bumped into it trying to get it open or they tripped on the numerous toys on the patio. There was an armed robbery in the wee hours of the night nearby where a woman woke up to someone standing in her bedroom yesterday morning (7/14/14) which isn't that far from where I live. I called the local PD (non-emergency) and they came out to check everything out. The officer was extremely nice and I'd talked to him before when the security system at work had a false alarm.
