I read a post in the Spiceworks Community a couple months ago about a crypto-virus –the title caught my attention. I remembered itwas an interesting read, and it made my cringe at the idea of getting hit by ransomware. Our network environment had lost reliable backups before I'd even started working for my company, and the IT director who hired me was in the process of moving the very vulnerable file servers to our new cloud server provider.
