TL;DR What percentage of current of viruses/malware/etc don't need admin rights in 2014?
There was an old article that claimed "90 percent of Windows 7 flaws fixed by removing admin rights" and I'm wondering how true that is today.
We all know the reasons for having your users run as a standard user and that's how my environment is. I was keeping Java and the common 3rd party programsup to date for everyone with ninite shutdown script. I recently took the step of uninstalling Java for everyone except those who specifically need it on a regular basis after readinghttp://w3techs.com/technologies/details/cp-javaruntime/all/allwhich says it's used on less than .1% of websites and we don't have many applications that need it.
