At my place of work, the 4 of us use a single profile for granting access rights and logging onto machines.
Reason 1 im guessing its nice and easy to remember one profile to rule them all.
Reason 2 when logging into machines only the one user profile gets created rather than multiple ones or your own personal one, so i was told.
This was set up before I started here and the more I think about it the more it puzzles me.
IT members that have left before I started would have known this password and as that profile can allow members to connect to the domain and have access to EVERYTHING.
should this not get changed periodically? like monthly?
