I am an entry level IT/Desktop support employee for a construction company out of central Indiana, Ive been in IT about 4 years now through school and now this is my first full time job. I was recently sitting in on the IT/BigWigs meeting and one of the points brought up was the security as far as getting into the actual data room here in our building. This being brought up primarily because the small manufacturing warehouse next to us just got broken in to, and guess what they took, of all the expensive manufacturing stuff in their, the crooks were smart enough to break in and take the servers and other computer components from their data room. So naturally that would be brought up in the IT meeting.
My question to the community is this, What do you have keeping crooks out of your data room? Is it just a key lock? do you have a key pad entry? maybe even fingerprint? Also throw any suggestions out there i want to look good in the next meeting and bring up some solid options. Thanks in advance!
