We're a two man team for our IT department, and we also oversee the security cameras at our company. We've been having some serious issues (cars stolen, intruders, etc) and its happening more and more, as crime rates increase in our area. We know there are measures our people can take to help prevent this, but we are having a devil of a time identifying the people stealing and breaking in.
I'm going to suggest we get a RFID door locking system, however our cameras are my reason here today. We don't want to invest a boatload of cash on a system that is no better than what we already have. Ideally, we want a system of cameras that can identify and snap pictures of license places, and one better, the faces of people in the vehicle as they drive through. Our facilities driveways are all long choke points to funnel cars through, so it should be easy to set up, but we want it to just work. Does anyone know of a good system? What are good (network) cameras for this?
