I've had enough...Downgrade Procedure?

I am fed up with Kaspersky.. We signed up for a 3 year subscription a year ago and installed version 10. It has been the worst experience trying to keep my users happy and myself sane. High CPU Utilization, No Communication to Central Server, PC's Locking up etc. I finally reached out to my re-seller for help and he tells me Kaspersky support says turn heuristic scanning off. Cheers, did that and things began to settle down a little bit. Then things started becoming an issue again, high CPU usage, scans out of policy, etc. I am at a loss. I reached out again to see if there was a buyout option or if I could get credit towards another solution provided by them... The answer I got was, you need to downgrade to version 8.

1. Why did I pay for the newest protection for all this trouble and no help?
2. Why do I have to turn off half of the features to get through the work week?
3. At my wits end, what is a good stable version to go to, and what is the "correct" downgrade procedure?

I welcome any thoughts and opinions! Thank you!
