I have a few PC's on my network that are going on the Internet late at night (in both cases at midnight on Wed and Fri night) and downloading a good amount of data when no one is logged into them. My network monitoring tool (Solarwinds) also reports that there is high data through-put on the switch from that IP. I have checked them for viruses and we have a hardware firewall/malware device in place. I have checked the Event Viewer and there is nothing out of the ordinary.
My question: Is there a free(ish) tool I can install on these individual machines to show me what process is starting up and downloading this data from the internet?
Thanks
